Wilson, Clive
Clive Wilson is a consulting civil engineer specialised in design and construction of structural and geotechnical works. After employment by major consulting practices, Webb & Partners, Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners, and Ninham Shand Inc between 1973 and 1979, and post-graduate study at the University of California, Berkeley during 1980 and 1981, he partnered Professor Ken Knight in launching his consulting practice in 1982, before initiating his own, Wilson & Pass Inc in 1985, where he remains a director, while also serving as an ADR practitioner since 2007.
Acted as Arbitrator in 14 cases since becoming a Fellow of the Ass. of Arbitrators in 2007
Acted as Adjudicator in 30 cases, including building and civil engineers matters, including as Dispute Adjudication Board
(DAB) Member for major civil engineering contracts.
Acted as Mediator / Amicable Settlement Facilitator in regard to 4 disputes
Acted as expert witness (geotechnical engineering) in numerous arbitrations and court cases, including in regard to Gautrain, large steel oil storage tanks in Durban. Plus various matters concerned with earthworks.
Advised numerous contractors and employers regarding dispute resolution including by preparation of statements of case and defence.
